Customisation

Your bottle dimensions determine any outside color, logo placement, or size. Embossed or printed both sit well on the PU layer. The foam cavity still gets re-cut when you swap in a different bottle profile or an accessory besides a corkscrew. And metal hardware color gets adjusted to your coordinating shade. First a blank sample goes out to verify the structure, then a printed one turns up for final approval.

How the box is built

The base is rigid cardboard, not a light folding carton. At 1200 g minimum, our greyboard stiffens the box enough for two full bottles without bowing. Then PU leather is applied as a facing, giving the outside a soft hand feel while the inside structure stays firm. The first transit damage a box gets is usually at its edge corners, which our metal guards protect.

Hinged at the back, the flip-top lid closes with metal latches at the front, a choice we made because a dropped box can make a magnetic closure pull open, whereas a latch won't let go. The carry handle, mounted with metal brackets rather than glued fabric, works the same. Cut to hold two bottles plus a corkscrew, the EVA foam insert sits inside the base. Our control tolerance on the insert is plus or minus 1 mm, so you get the same fit every time.

Bottle fit and carrying

Each bottle occupies a shaped EVA foam cavity, not a sloppy paper divider, with foam touchpoints at four areas (two on the body and two at the neck). Which keeps the bottle from pivoting when carried by the handle. Its own cutout keeps the corkscrew away from the glass and from rattles. In-house checks happen before we ship. We shake the loaded box for ten seconds and look for movement, then tilt it 45 degrees and no bottle slides, then invert the box and no bottle comes out. Adjustment happens if a bottle moves during any test.

Where it works best

You would use this if a complete gift set is needed without separately sourcing bag, tissue, and ribbon. Corporate gifting teams hand it over ready. Wineries sell two-bottle sets in tasting rooms or ship them to club. A shelf-ready gift box that sits next to the wine works for retail. But if you run a high-volume mail order needing flat pack, the rigid structure and foam insert only add bulk and weight, and a foldable box with lighter insert will do better there.

Yes, we cut the EVA foam to fit a specific bottle shape. Provide the bottle height, diameter, and shoulder position, or send a sample bottle. We adjust the cavity and verify the fit with our standard shake, tilt, and invert tests.

Does the box come assembled, or do we have to put it together?

The box comes fully assembled with the EVA foam insert already fitted. You only need to place the bottles and corkscrew into the cavities.

Will the metal latches scratch the PU leather finish over time?

The metal latch contacts a catch plate, not the PU leather surface, so it does not scratch the finish in normal use. If extra protection is needed, a protective layer can be added.
