How it's built

Bottle fit

The custom foam interior is cut for two wine bottles and two wine glasses. Each bottle sits in its own pocket, held at the base and shoulder so the neck isn't unsupported. We check the fit before shipping: shake the loaded box for 10 seconds and there's no movement, tilt it 45 degrees and nothing slides, invert it and nothing releases. If the insert doesn't pass those checks, it gets recut. For this double-bottle set, the insert tolerance is plus or minus 1 mm, so the bottles don't rattle or jam.

The insert is not a fixed stock size. We cut the foam pockets to your bottle's base diameter, shoulder height, and total height. Send us the bottle dimensions or a sample, and we'll match the insert to it.

Does the magnetic closure hold the doors shut during shipping?

The magnets are positioned to keep the doors closed when the box is upright. We check magnet position within plus or minus 1 mm, and we run loaded drop and vibration tests before packing. If the doors pop open in testing, we adjust the magnet strength or placement.
