Wine Gift Bags
Wine gift bags solve a real problem. A bottle on its own can feel unfinished, but a bag adds a handle, a layer of protection, and a place for your brand. We make them for wineries, corporate gifting programs, and gift companies that need a consistent look across hundreds or thousands of units. Paper is the workhorse. Felt and canvas read more premium. Leather is the top shelf. Christmas styles are seasonal, but we run them all year so your holiday orders don't get squeezed.
Most buyers come to us with a bottle shape in mind and a budget per unit. The bag has to fit the bottle, hold it without tearing, and survive being carried from the shop to the car to the dinner table. That sounds simple, but it's where a lot of wine bags fail. You'll see handles pull out of the paper, seams split at the base, or ink rub off on the customer's hands. We control those points in production, and I'll explain how below.
How to choose
Start with the bottle. A standard 750 ml Bordeaux or Burgundy bottle fits most single-bottle bags, but a wider Champagne or sparkling bottle needs more gusset depth. Send us the bottle dimensions or a sample and we'll match the bag size. The second decision is material. Paper is the most economical and takes print well. Felt and canvas are softer, reusable, and have a tactile quality that paper can't match. Leather is for high-value gifts where the bag itself is part of the present.
Think about how the bag will be carried. A paper bag with a die-cut handle is fine for light use, but if the bottle will be carried long distances or the bag will be reused, a reinforced handle or a separate rope or ribbon handle is safer. We test handle strength as part of our in-house checks, and we'll tell you if your chosen material can't support the handle style you want.
Then decide what the bag needs to say. Do you want your logo on one side, or all over? A single foil stamp is elegant and cost-effective. A full-wrap print gives you more room for a design, but it costs more and can crack if the paper is too stiff. For Christmas bags, we usually recommend a simple foil or UV print on a solid colour. It reads as festive without looking cheap. And if you're ordering for a specific event, plan for a printed sample before mass production. It's the only way to see how the foil catches the light on the actual material.

Can I order wine gift bags with my own logo?
Yes, all our wine bags are made to order. You supply the artwork or we can help develop it. We print with foil stamping, UV printing, or four-colour process depending on the material. You'll approve a printed sample before we run the full quantity. Payment is by T/T or PayPal, and we ship by air, sea, or express.
How do I know the bag will fit my bottle?
Send us the bottle dimensions or a sample. We'll match the bag width, gusset depth, and height. Our control tolerance on the bag body is plus or minus 2 mm, so the fit is consistent. We also check that the bottle doesn't slide or shift during our vibration and drop tests. If the bottle is an unusual shape, we'll recommend a different bag structure or an insert.
Can you run small quantities for a limited release?
Yes, we keep flexible MOQ for custom orders. Tell us roughly how many bags you need and we'll work with you. Paper bags are easier to run in small batches than leather or canvas. We'd rather help you test a new design than push you to buy more than you need.
What we control
We make wine bags from a range of materials: kraft paper, white card, felt, canvas, and leather-textured paper. For paper bags, the board weight matters. Too light and the bag sags when you put a bottle in. Too heavy and the creases crack. We use a greyboard minimum of 1200 g for the base and recommend 1400 g for anything that will hold a heavy bottle. The facing paper is at least 157 g specialty or coated stock. No recycled greyboard, no high-moisture paper. Those are the two shortcuts that cause bags to fail in humid conditions or under load.
Colour is the other thing we control tightly. We match Pantone references, and we send a first-article approval before the full run. Black, deep blue and burgundy are the hardest to hold consistently, so we sample those more often. Our in-house checks include a 1.2 m six-face drop test with a bottle loaded, a stacking top load of 40 kg or more for 24 hours, and truck and sea vibration simulation. The bag has to survive without the bottle moving, the seams splitting, or the print rubbing off. If it fails, we adjust the board or the adhesive before we ship a single unit.
