How the box is built

Made from recyclable cardboard with reinforced edges, the box stays light but the corners won't crush, whether it's stored or shipped. The design, which collapses flat for delivery, is where most of the cost savings come from. You're not paying to ship air.

Assembly is simple: you fold the sides up, lock the base, and it's ready with no glue or tape because the tabs are selflocking. As a good base for printing we recommend you protect the artwork with a matte or gloss lamination and make the colors pop. Three standard colors, although custom colors are an option.

Bottle fit and protection

This box is sized for one standard wine bottle which sits right inside the folded cardboard shell, and the reinforced edges keep everything from flexing. To get the fit exactly right, send us your bottle dimensions or a sample bottle, and we'll adjust the box accordingly before production. We check the fit the same way we do for our rigid boxes: shake it for 10 seconds and the bottle shouldn't move, tilt it 45 degrees and it shouldn't slide, then invert it and it shouldn't release. If the bottle moves even a little, we adjust the dimensions before production. Because it is not padded, the box is for normal retail and gifting rather than courier abuse or long-distance shipping on its own.

Can this box hold a heavy or unusually shaped bottle?

It's designed to hold a standard 750 ml bottle, and if your bottle is taller, wider, or heavier than usual just send dimensions or a sample bottle because we'll adjust the box to fit whatever the bar team needs. The cardboard is sturdy but think about a rigid box. We recommend this whenever the bottle tips towards the very heavy end.

Does the box come assembled or flat?

When it ships flat, you save on storage space and freight, so assembling each one takes a few seconds after you fold the sides and lock the base (with no glue or tape). Pre-assembled boxes remain possible. But if you choose that option you accept extra shipping volume and cost.

What finishes can I get on the cardboard?

On this smooth surface you can surface with matte or gloss lamination, define a metallic star via hot stamping on a logo, or apply an emboss pattern for raised texture since fine detail holds truly well. Then we'll use Pantone references to match your brand colors exactly. But before that, on a separate preproduction pass we send a printed sample for approval from your side.
